Privacy Policy

Effective 17 August 2026

The short version

Timedial is a world clock. It has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and it does not sell data. The little data it touches exists only to show you the right times in the right places.

Location

If you grant location permission, Timedial uses your position once per session to place your nearest city at the top of your list. Your coordinates are sent to our reverse-geocoding service to resolve a city name and are not stored, logged with your identity, or shared with anyone else. Location access is optional — declining it only means your city isn't detected automatically.

Your saved cities and settings

The cities you track and your preferences (like the 12/24-hour format) are stored on your device — in your browser's local storage, or in the iOS app's on-device storage so your home screen widgets can show your cities. They never leave your device as part of any profile.

Diagnostics

If something breaks, anonymous error reports (the error message and where in the app it happened) may be sent to our hosting platform so we can fix it. These reports don't include your location, cities, or anything that identifies you.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, and no advertising or analytics SDKs
  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data
  • No accounts, so nothing to breach or delete
